Every appointment begins with a thoughtful consultation to ensure the right approach for your goals. You’ll leave with a clear understanding of what to expect, both immediately and as your results heal.
1. The Consultation
A detailed consultation is built in to every appointment. Rima will ask about your desired goals and with that knowledge, discuss the appropriate techniques, colors and most importantly- draw an expertly shaped brow, eyeliner or lip design tailored to your wishes. She will collaborate with you until you love it. Through this customized artistry process you will get to see, discuss, and approve of everything before anything is tattooed.
2. The Procedure
After the design and color are approved, Rima will begin the cosmetic tattooing process using the most advanced techniques and products prioritizing your comfort. Our goal is to not only give you beautiful, natural-looking results but also to make the experience as enjoyable as possible. Because of our extensive experience in permanent makeup, our clients experience little to no pain and swelling and they all agree it's nothing like what they anticipated.
3. The Aftercare
Rima will go over aftercare instructions to ensure you have an easy healing process and provide you with aftercare products. The color will initially appear bolder but will soften in 5-7 days.
4. The Follow Up
Two months after the initial appointment, Rima will see you back for a follow-up visit to assess the healed design and color. At that appointment, anything that needs to be done will be taken care of to ensure that your results are flawless. This is also your opportunity to make any changes now that you’ve experienced and understand the process. After the follow-up, clients don't have to come back for anywhere from 1.5-10 years, depending on their selected technique, color choice and individual retention.

Can Rima correct previous permanent makeup?
Yes, previous work can be corrected or improved upon. The number of session will depend on the previous design and color.
Longevity & Maintenance
Is it truly permanent? How long does permanent makeup last?
No, unlike traditional body tattoos that penetrate deep into the dermis, permanent makeup implants pigment into the upper layer of the dermis. The body naturally metabolizes it over time. Depending on the technique, color, lifestyle, and skin type, Rima's results last 2 to 3 years for brows, 4-10 years for eyeliner and 3 to 6 years for lips before requiring a color boost. Color Boosts are discounted for return clients.
Why do I need a touch-up session?
Permanent makeup is a two-step process. The initial session lays the foundation. During the 6-to-8-week healing phase, the skin naturally rejects a portion of the pigment. The second session is essential to refine the shape, fill in any patchy areas, and lock in the color for longevity.
Comfort & Safety
Does the procedure hurt?
Rima has created a special numbing technique to virtually eliminate all pain and discomfort. A high-strength topical anesthetic cream is applied throughout the session to maintain numbness. Most clients describe the sensation as a light vibration and many even fall asleep.
Is permanent makeup safe?
Yes, Rima adheres to the highest level of safety guidelines by following the strict infection control practices required by the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals. She uses 100% disposable, single-use, medical-grade needle cartridges and supplies and thoroughly disinfects all non-disposable tools and surfaces between each client and complies with Oklahoma Health Department regulations.
The Healing Process
What should I expect during the healing process?
Immediately after the procedure, the color will look 40% to 50% darker and bolder than the final result. Minor swelling and tenderness are normal for the first 24 to 48 hours. Around days 3 to 5, light flaking or a thin film will naturally exfoliate. It takes a full 4 to 6 weeks for the true, soft pigment to settle and show through the healed skin.
Can I exercise or wear makeup right after?
No. Sweat, bacteria, and cosmetic products introduce a high risk of infection and can ruin pigment retention. You must avoid heavy sweating, swimming, saunas, and applying makeup directly on the treated area for 7 to 10 days.
Special Medical Considerations
I am prone to cold sores—can I still get lip blushing?
Yes, but the physical stimulation of a lip tattoo can trigger a flare-up. Clients with a history of cold sores must consult their physician for a preventative antiviral prescription (like Valtrex) to take 2 to 3 days before and after the procedure.
Can I get these services if I am pregnant or nursing?
No, out of an abundance of caution regarding hormonal shifts, healing capacities, and potential infection risks, permanent makeup cannot be performed on clients who are currently pregnant or nursing.
